Patch 6 is officially available for Baldurs Gate 3, giving players access to a host of new content including the Sorcerer class and the Grymforge region. Landing in July, Baldurs Gate 3 Patch 5 marked the last major update for the Early Access RPG title. In particular, it revamped the camping system, added dialogue to sections without cutscenes, and improved the background settings for characters.
Baldurs Gate 3 takes place over a hundred years after the events of its predecessor, Baldurs Gate II: Shadow of Amn of the 2000s. Interestingly, the last Baldurs Gate does not follow all the footsteps of the original sequels. For one thing, the gameplay featured in this particular outlet has more in common with developer Larian Studios Divinity: Original Sin, due in large part to its turn-based combat mechanics. Larian released an early access version of the new Baldurs Gate entry in October 2020, with a full release scheduled for sometime in 2022 at the earliest. In particular, users can look forward to exploring Grymforge, a new region full of additional story opportunities, never-before-seen enemies, missions, and additional characters. The arrival of patch 6 also unleashes the playable Sorcerer class, which adds Metamagic and new spells. Metamagic, the "signature ability" of each Sorcerer, allows players to strengthen spells in the middle of combat by increasing range or duration, for example. Additionally, the Sorcerer class has two distinct subclasses: the wild magic that embraces chaos and the Draconic bloodline, a subclass with dragon ancestry. Today's patch 6 release also includes a "great graphical enhancement", evidenced by the addition of volumetric lighting, fresh color grading, and new particle effects.

Even in the early access phase of Baldurs Gate 3, Larian Studios shows no signs of slowing down its incredible expansion of the already strong offering.
