Pokémon Legends Arceus Leak Hints at Hisuian's Initial Evolutions

Earlier this month, multiple sources claimed that The Pokemon Company created nearly two dozen variants of Pokémon Hisuian, three of which were the final evolutions of the initial Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Decidueye, Samurott, and Typhlosion. However, at the time, these leaks didn't have enough credibility to be seen as anything other than rumors, not until a popular Pokémon leaker backed them up after successfully proving their own leaks were accurate.

That leaker, Twitter user @eclipse_TT, predicted the existence and release date of a "restored" version of the Pokemon Legends: Arceus "found images" trailer, as well as trailers revealing Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark. They then took part in a podcast call with other Pokémon enthusiasts and revealed that some of the previous October leaks had some merit to them. By extension, they gave credit to leaks that claimed the initial evolutions of Pokémon Hisuian and the types associated with them. For those who don't know, the leaks claim that the final evolutions of Rowlett, Oshawott, and Cyndaquil, the starters of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, would all be dual-type Pokémon. Specifically, Decidueye will be the Grass-Fighting type, Samurott will be the Water-Dark type, and Typhlosion will be the Fire-Ghost type. How such typing affects every aspect of the Pokémon remains a mystery, as the leak didn't share many other details about the trio.

It's worth noting that while @eclipse_TT has a history of being accurate with its Pokémon predictions and leaks, any leak regarding Pokémon Legends: Arceus should be taken with a grain of salt. It's certainly possible for leakers to make accurate guesses about things before they happen, especially when given context beforehand, which the found footage trailer did for Zorua. Also, even if the leaks are true, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company may remove content from Pokemon Legends: Arceus before it comes out, so until otherwise noted, the precise leaks may also be false.

Other than that, many Pokémon fans were already expecting the starters of Pokémon Legends: Arceus to have Hussuan forms. It would be strange for The Pokémon Company to develop Hisuian variants for other Pokémon, but not for the Pokémon that all players are guaranteed to catch. Doing so would be the equivalent of neglecting Gigantamax forms for Sword and Shield launchers. Legendary aside, starter Pokémon are the face of their respective games, so it only makes sense that they embody the game's cheats as well.
